"Dear Senator" honored with Adweek ARC Award 2019

Adweek ARC Award 2019 - “Best Use of Short-Form Nonfiction Series”

I can finally announce that the amazing team at Windy Media won the Adweek ARC Award 2018 for “Best Use of Short-Form Nonfiction Series” category with “Dear Senator” for the Planned Parenthood for America series shot over 10 intense days in 2018. The female leadership team included my first experience as Director, along with amazing DP Shannon Palmer, and Windy’s own extraordinary Producer Jordan Berry and the Windy’s amazing team.

The intense shoot explored personal experiences around the right to safe access to abortion in the context of Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination, and Senator Susan Collins critical vote. It was a powerful first experience Directing, but it was a privilege to hold space for these brave women to share such powerful important stories and to work with such a talented team. I look forwards to doing so again this month!

There are no words for the many brave, articulate women in Maine who forwards to speak about their personal experiences so generously, on behalf of defending the rights of all women in this country. Their words are everything, and my gratitude to them, as a creative and as a woman, is impossible to truly express.
